Lions Mane "Chicken Nuggets"

Ingredients

1 Pound Lions Mane Mushrooms
2 Large Eggs
1 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup of Panko (optional)
2 tbsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Cayenne
1 tsp Pepper
3-4 Cups of Frying Oil

🔪 Prep Steps

  1. Mushrooms: Slice Lions Mane into bite size pieces (about half inch thick)
  2. Eggs: Whisk in a bowl
  3. Spices: Mix all spices and flour together in a separate bowl.
  4. Oil: Heat Oil in a pot suitable for frying. (between 350°F and 375°F)

🍳 Cooking Instructions

  1.  Take Lions Mane pieces and toss into egg bowl. Evenly coat all of the mushrooms.
  2. Toss coated Lions Mane pieces into flour mixture with spices.
  3. Add to Oil for 5-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Serve with dipping sauce of your choice. 
  5. Freeze any leftovers and reheat at 350°F in air fryer or oven.
